Arnott's Granita Golden Syrup Flan

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Arnott’s Granita with Fruit biscuits, crushed
  • 2/3 cup golden syrup
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 80g roasted unsalted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 220g unbaked sweet short pastry flan base, frozen

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients, and press the mixture into the pastry base.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the top is just firm and brown. Allow to cool and serve sliced with ice-cream or cream, if desired. The flan is best made the day before required.
